Vineyard: Overlooking the
Rhone Valley, the famous vineyard of the Cotes du Rhone covers 57,000 hectares
on 200 kms between Vienne and Avignon. It is the second largest A.O.C. in
France.
Climate: Warm and dry summers, cold winters, and very sunny all year
round.
Traditional Vinification: The yield is limited to 50 hectolitres per
hectare for quality control.
Soil: The situation of the vineyard on the hill slopes and terraces and a
soil made of day, chalk, and pebbles provide the best conditions to
vine-growing.
Ripe and full-bodied, a
serious Rhone red with a supple texture. Impressive depth, round tannins, and
ripe fruit. Coffee, mocha, and pepper compliments the fruit. Has personality and
richness.
