Château Barthe

Graves is Bordeaux most famous area for the production of outstanding dry white wines. The white wines of Graves tend to be richer, fuller and more complex than most of the other growing regions in Bordeaux.

Owner:

Dominique Lafosse

Appellation:

Characterized by its gravel soils, the Graves region near Bordeaux produces red and white wines that are renowned for their very great finesse.

Vinification and Maturing:

The grapes are picked by hand and sorted. Before pressing, the harvest is macerated on the skins with stabilization in cold conditions. Alcoholic fermentation is then carried out in barrels. The winemaking process comes to a close with maturing on the fine lees in new oak barrels with regular stirring.

Chateau Barthe

 60% Sauvignon 30% Semillion, 10% Muscadelle

A pale yellow color with greenish tints. An intense bouquet of buttery aromas and delicate toasted hints, lots of flesh. Very full and rounded on the palate. Very good aromatic length.
