Château Ducla Experience
Bordeaux Blanc 2005
Varietals: 46% Sauvignon Gris, 46% Sauvignon
Blanc, 8% Muscadelle.
Barrel-fermented and Sur Lies aged for 7-9 months here
is a wine with the delicacy expected in white Bordeaux,
but with great power and depth. The unusual addition of
Sauvignon Gris adds to the aromatic intensity with notes
of jasmine, mango and passion fruit. The finish is long
and delicate.

Château Ducla Permanence
Bordeaux Supèriur 2003
Varietals: 55% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon
2003 presented a vintage which produced a red wine of great
density concentration and power. The rich plumy fruit is
mixed with toast and tobacco to yield a big rich Bordeaux.
The wine si long and bold on the finish with smoky oak blending
with dense dark fruit. This is one that is impressive today,
but will develop greater complexity with age.

Château Du Val d’Or
Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2003
Varietals: 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc,
5% Cabernet Sauvignon
Proprietor Philippe Bardet has been an innovative pioneer
of integrated vine growing techniques, which led to Du Val
D’Or being the firs estate in the Bordeaux region to be
accredited under sustainable agriculture standards. His
constant focus on quality has brought great results with
the powerful 2003 vintage. It displays toasty oak flavors,
and has a full and rich mouth-feel. Certainly an age-worthy
wine, but with the great dink ability of merlots of St.
Emilion Grand Cru.

Château d’Arsac
Cuvee le Colombier
Margaux 2003
Varietals: 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34%
Merlot
Château d’Arsac is one of the oldest estates in Médoc.
During the French Revolution the château was destroyed,
then rebuilt with its present chai (cellar) in 1830. This
wine from the hot and dry 2003 vintage shows great complexity
with mingling notes of vanilla, tobacco, and coffee.
