          ARERUNGUÁ
  • The name Arerungua is the Guarani name of a region in Uruguay between the rivers Valentin and Canas, where the cowboys brought their cattle in the winter season. The word literally signifies "old comer"
     
  • The symbol on the bottle logo is representing two Guarani snakes.
     
  • The variety Tannat was chosen because its perfect growing conditions in Uruguay. The grapes are hand picked, handled in small quantities and elaborated with traditional methods, to make top sophisticated red wine for the most exigent local and foreign markets.
     
  • Production
    The grapes comes from vines more than 20 years old.   2000 vintage - 1200 cases

Grape Variety:
100% Tannat

Ageing:
Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, and a minimum of 6 months in the bottle.

Tasting notes:
The wine shows a deep purple colour, intense blackberry fruit and spicy aromas, firm tannins and a strong full body wine on the palate.
